Privacy: this
cottage has the woods to its back and the
ocean to its front. If you want a place where
you won't be disturbed by the noise of a
neighbor down the hall or have to get dressed
to enjoy your first cup of coffee then this
place is made for you There is instead, the
murmur of the ocean surf rising up the face
of the bluff to your front porch.
Scenery: In
Alaska this is to be anticipated, in Homer
it is beautiful, from the porch and windows
of this house, the view is extraordinary.
The
eagles soar along the updrafts of the bluff
just in front of the porch and moose will
wander through the woods around you. Whales
breach in the ocean just below you. The
view of Kachemak bay and Cook inlet stretches
out to the mountains of the Kenai Peninsula
and the volcanic mountains of the Alaska
Range.
Convenience: The
house is located off the main highway leading
into Homer Alaska and is actually within
the city limits. This is not most people's
idea of what it is to live within a city
limit however, it is so secluded.. The travel
time to the center of Homer is less than
5 minutes. The distance to the start of the
Homer Spit is about 4 miles. For the out
of town traveler it is easy to locate. It
comes fully furnished and has a completely
equipped kitchen. There is even a washer
and dryer to get caught up with your travelers
laundry while you relax in a chair on the
porch.
